The On the occasion of the Prakash Utsav of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, a grand lighting of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji was also done at Sri Nanaksar Gurudwara Sahib, Sector 28. On this occasion, State BJP President Jitendra Pal Malhotra, Commandant of 13th Battalion CRPF Kamal Sisodia and in-charge of Health and Wellness Center of Sector 37, Dr. Rajiv Kapila also came to pay obeisance and offer prayers to Guru Granth Sahib on the occasion of Guru Parv.

After that, Baba Gurdev Singh Ji also met the throne here took blessings. On this occasion, BJP Vice President and former councilor Devendra Babla, District President Mannu Bhasin, BJP Kisan Morcha General Secretary Dharmendra Saini, LO Ashwini of CRPF 13th Battalion, Dharmacharya Girwar Sharma, social workers Prakash Saini, Babu Barua and Rishabh Singh along with Sector 28 Market head Vinod Chawla was also present.

Jatinder Pal Malhotra said that the principle of ‘Naam Japo, Kirat Karo and Vand Chhako’ given by Guru Nanak Dev Ji is meaningful even today, adopting which is sure to promote peace, unity, harmony and progress in the society. He told that while Guru ji gave the message of peace and harmony, he also gave the message to humanity to raise voice against oppression by calling the then ruler Babar a tyrant and fight against it firmly.

Commandant Kamal Sisodia said that Guru Nanak Dev, along with his special disciple Bhai Mardana, along with making the whole world aware of many unique ideas and principles, also started the langar tradition. Even today, the langar system started by Baba Nanak with Rs 20 is feeding crores of people across the world.
