The Voice of Chandigarh

In a major action, the Chandigarh Administration has suspended the Aggregator License of M/s ANI Technologies Private Limited (OLA Cabs) with immediate effect. The suspension will remain in force for a period of six months starting from June 17, 2026.

According to an official notification, OLA, which operates cab and bike taxi services in the Union Territory through its digital platform, will no longer be permitted to provide transportation services during the suspension period.

The Administration has directed all vehicle owners currently associated with OLA not to attach or operate their cabs or bike taxis under the company’s platform within Chandigarh. Drivers and operators have also been instructed not to accept ride bookings through the OLA application.

Officials have warned that strict action will be taken against anyone found violating these directions. Vehicles operating through the OLA platform despite the suspension may face challans and impounding under the applicable provisions of law.

The general public has also been advised not to book rides through the OLA application to avoid inconvenience. Citizens have been urged to use other aggregator platforms that are duly registered and authorized to operate in Chandigarh.

The Administration stated that the suspension has come into effect immediately and will remain applicable for the next six months unless further orders are issued.
