law & order and crime review meeting held under the chairmanship of Kuldeep Singh Chahal SSP

A law & order and crime review meeting was held under the chairmanship of Kuldeep Singh Chahal, IPS, SSP UT, Chandigarh at Police Headquarters, Sector-09, UT, Chandigarh. The meeting was focused on the security measures for the forthcoming Independence Day, Law & Order arrangements for the upcoming visit of the Home Minister and to review the Crime scenario in the city.

The following officers attended the meeting:

• SP/City
• All SDPOs, DSP PCR, DSP CID
• All SHOs, I/C DCC, Inspector PCR
• All I/C PPs

The following points were deliberated in the meeting:

1. Law and Order Arrangements in view of the upcoming visit of Hon’ble Home Minister.
2. Law and Order Management in view of forthcoming Independence Day.
3. To make Better co-ordination with border Police Stations for sharing of information and intensive checking.
4. Thorough checking of tenants/ servants /PGs / vendors/ hotels / Guest house/ Sarai etc. in the city.
5. Sharing of Information regarding the movement of gangsters.
6. Sharing of terror and gangster-related intelligence and inputs.
7. Sharing of intelligence and inputs of drug peddlers and strategy to nab them.
8. To keep a check on the religious affairs in the area for their peaceful conduct.
9. Strategy to curb crime in tri-city.
10. Strategies to check the proliferation of illicit firearms.
