Mayor flags off 3 dog catching vans

The Voice of Chandigarh : Taking another step towards better management of stray dogs in Chandigarh, Anup Gupta, city Mayor today flagged off dog catching vehicles at MCC office premises in the presence of Ms. Anindita Mitra, IAS, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation Chandigarh and other concerned officers of MCC.

With the addition of three dog catching vans to lift dogs from the city and to sterilize, immunize and giving them proper medical treatment in the newly opened Animal Birth Control Centre of at Raipur Kalan, the sterilisation program shall get an impetus.

These three additional dog catching vans will run throughout the city to catch  non-sterilized/sick dogs and give them required medical treatment  to control the rising population of dogs in the city and in the larger public interest.
