RERA review meeting held under Chief Secretary UT Chandigarh

In continuation of the PRAGATI meeting chaired by the Hon’ble Prime Minister on 25th June 2025, a review meeting was convened under the chairmanship of Rajeev Verma, IAS, Chief Secretary, Chandigarh, along with Anand Kumar, Chairman, Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA), Delhi & Chandigarh.

The meeting was attended by Mandeep Singh Brar, Home Secretary; Diprava Lakra, Finance Secretary; Nishant Yadav, Deputy Commissioner; Palika Arora, Secretary, RERA; Amit Kumar, Additional Secretary (Coordination); and other officers of the Chandigarh Administration. Representatives of key stakeholder bodies, including the Property Federation Chandigarh and CREDAI Punjab, were also present.

During the meeting, key projects, RERA initiatives, and complaints registered on CPGRAMS were reviewed in detail. The discussions focused on the implementation status, progress, and public outreach of RERA’s schemes and regulatory measures.

The Chair emphasized the importance of creating greater public awareness about RERA and its benefits. It was directed that comprehensive awareness campaigns be undertaken to inform and educate citizens, homebuyers, and other stakeholders about RERA’s projects, schemes, and regulatory mechanisms.
