SENIOR ADVOCATE GURMINDER SINGH GERRY APPOINTED AS THE NEW ADVOCATE GENERAL OF THE PUNJAB

The new Advocate General of Punjab is Senior Advocate Gurminder Singh Gerry. He was appointed after Vinod Ghai resigned from the post citing personal reasons.

Gerry is a senior advocate with over 35 years of experience. He has represented the state of Punjab in a number of high-profile cases, including the Beas blasphemy case and the Ludhiana bomb blast case. He has also served as the Standing Counsel for the Punjab Police and the Punjab and Haryana High Court.

Gerry is a well-respected lawyer and is known for his expertise in criminal law. He is also a vocal advocate for human rights.
