Sri Sathya Sai Manav Seva Foundation Launches Free School for Underprivileged Children in Rupnagar

In a significant step towards inclusive education and nation-building, the Sri Sathya Sai Manav Seva Foundation has announced the launch of a unique initiative titled “School for Skills, Sports and Military Training” located at the Skill Hub, Government Polytechnic College, Nangal Road, Rupnagar.

The institution, being run under the aegis of Sri Sathya Sai Skill ProED, aims to provide completely free education to children belonging to poor and underprivileged sections of society. Admissions for the academic session 2026–27 are now open for students from Pre-Nursery to 8th Class, following the CBSE curriculum.

What sets this school apart is its holistic and futuristic approach to education, combining academics with skill development, language training, and structured preparation for competitive and defence-oriented careers. Students will receive training in Spoken English and French, along with dedicated coaching for prestigious institutions and examinations such as Rashtriya Military Schools (RMS), Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC), Sainik Schools, UPSC foundation courses, JEE, NEET, and INI.

The Foundation has also made special provisions for poor and under-privileged students being provided totally free hostel accommodation, nutritious meals, sports facilities, and skill development courses, ensuring that financial constraints do not hinder a child’s growth and aspirations. Special emphasis will be laid on sports, discipline, and personality development, with a vision to groom students for leadership and national service.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Satish Garg, President of Sri Sathya Sai Manav Seva Foundation, said:

“This initiative is a humble step towards empowering the underprivileged sections of society through education that goes beyond textbooks. Our aim is to nurture disciplined, skilled, and confident individuals who can contribute meaningfully to the nation. By providing completely free education along with hostel, food, and advanced training, we want to ensure that no deserving child is left behind due to lack of resources.”

The founder Trustee Amar Vivek Aggarwal Advocate, further added that the Foundation is committed to creating a model institution in rural Punjab that integrates modern skill-based learning with strong moral and national and ethical values, wherein quality Skills training shall be provided absolutely free for under-privileged sections of society.
