Tourism Authority of Thailand organizes Amazing Thailand Roadshow to India

To promote Thailand as a perfect holiday destination for Indians, the Tourism Authority of Thailand organized the Amazing Thailand Roadshow to India in Chandigarh at Hyatt Regency.

The networking event started with a B2B session where Indian travel agents got an opportunity to meet and network with 30 sellers from Thailand including representatives of hotels, attractions, DMC, and airlines.

The evening commenced with an opening remark by Mrs. Phimpha Ratanapruk, Deputy Executive Director – ASEAN, South Asia and South Pacific Department Tourism Authority of Thailand, who welcomed the travel trade from Chandigarh, Ludhiana and Jalandhar.

This was followed by the Amazing Thailand presentation on new destinations, products, and experiences in Thailand along with a focus on Thailand’s Wellness Tourism offerings.

At the roadshow, Mrs Siriges-a-nong Trirattanasongpol, Director of Tourism Authority of Thailand, New Delhi Office, highlighted the importance of Indian visitors to Thailand and appreciated the continuous support of the Indian travel trade in making Thailand the preferred holiday destination for Indians. Currently, India is ranked at the # 3 spot for inbound tourists to Thailand.

The Director also expressed her gratitude for visiting the beautiful city of Chandigarh and meeting with the travel agents, wedding planners, and media from various parts of Punjab. She stated that Tier 2 cities in India have shown rapid growth in travellers to Thailand and continue to have a high potential for international travel. “We Look forward to welcoming many more travellers from Punjab to Amazing Thailand,” she said.
