Demolition drive against illegal farmhouses, shops, godowns & illegal colonies in periphery areas of UT Chandigarh

A demolition drive was held in catchment area of Sukhna lake in village Kaimbwala as per the orders of Vinay Pratap Singh, District Magistrate, under supervision of SDM Central Sanyam Garg with the assistance of Enforcement wing of Estate Office and Police Force.

34 illegal structures were demolished in the drive, both temporary and permanent. Such massive drives will continue in the coming weeks as well to check the growth of unauthorized structures in violation of Periphery Act as per directions of Banwarilal Purohit, Hon’ble Administrator UT Chandigarh. Various structures like illegal farmhouses, shops, godowns & illegal colonies have been identified for this purpose and directions have been given to all SDMs to take strict action against them.
